2021 TOURNAMENT 

After a break of a year the Crediton Youth FC annual six aside tournament returned to Lords Meadow. Albeit two months later than usual and on a smaller scale, owing to Covid restrictions.

Demand for spaces was high with many visiting sides just looking to get back to playing football. There were not the usual touring sides, with the majority of entries coming from Devon clubs, with only a few sides from outside of the County. 

Overall a fine weekend of football took place, despite the poor weather on the Saturday. The club again received some excellent feedback on the event from many visiting sides. 

There was also some successes for Crediton Youth sides. The U12 Mavericks boys won their age group beating Fusion Panthers in their final, with the U14 United girls winning their final against Chaddlewood Minors. Unfortunately, the U11 Vipers lost in their final to Exwick Villa.

The club would like to thank their main sponsor Crediton Dairy for their continued support, plus all the other sponsors and local businesses and organisations that contribute to make the weekend such a success. 

Special thanks must also go to Dan Uren and his team of referees that made the weekend run so smoothly. 

This years tournament was a challenge for the committee to organise, and thanks must go to the army of parents and volunteers that worked so hard to stage the tournament. But after a difficult eighteen months it was just great to see youngsters out having fun.
